“I have never been drunk during the day,” Ingrosso said, translated from Swedish.“I have never gotten aggressive.
I’ve never been scary in front of the kids.” He also separated the drinking from his work: “I was never able to write music [while] I drank.There are people who can.
I can’t.” What he was medicating was quieter.“It was the silence after the music and the party, which I needed to fill,” he said.
Ingrosso traced his turning point to around May 2024.As he recounts in the program, his wife reached out to his closest friends, who arrived one by one at the studio where he was working.
He went home afterward and told her, for the first time, that he was an alcoholic.The candor extends a story Ingrosso first shared publicly back in May 2025, when he marked one year sober in an Instagram post calling it the hardest and most honest year of his life.
