Buc-ees is opening 15 more locations including its largest outpost yet

The “world’s friendliest beaver” is adding 15 more pit stops.Famous for the “cleanest restrooms in America,” the mega-sized convenience hub and gas station is giving roadtrippers more chances to stop and fill up.Buc-ee’s first opened back in 1982 and offered Texans a simple and clean place to fill up their tanks.However, it has now developed a cult-like following as the chain took a normal gas station and transformed it into a very fun tourist trap. Each location is huge and typically occupies 50,000 and 74,000 square feet.
Fans from around the world make sure to hit up the massive gift shop, full-scale food market, and, of course, take a picture with the mascot.The bronzed, smiling beaver with an adorable red and yellow baseball cap named Buc-ee.And the chain is clearly doing something right because 15 more stores have been added to its lineup between now and 2031. This week, the travel center opened its Arizona location in Goodyear, occupying a massive 74,000 square feet and offering 120 fueling stations.Located at 1001 N.Bullard Avenue, a suburb of Phoenix, the new location marks its debut in the Southwest — and the first Buc-ee’s spot in Arizona.“We could not have picked a better location for our first store in the Grand Canyon state.
