California scoops up Yelps most saved in America rankings with 4 of the top 5 spots

As summer temperatures start soaring across California, a new ranking is giving ice cream lovers plenty of excuses to cool off.Yelp has released its list of the 50 most-saved ice cream shops in America — and the Golden State dominated the competition, claiming four of the top five spots.The food review platform analyzed user bookmarks and rating data to come up with the list, which finds San Francisco creamery Mitchell’s Ice Cream at the top.The Mission District shop which was founded in 1953 has over 3,400 5-star reviews and over 1,000 4-star reviews.Their official website reveals their hand-crafted “super-premium” is made with “16% butterfat,” which is what makes their ice cream stand apart from the frozen pack.California's top news, sports and entertainment delivered to your inbox every day.
