World Cup fans wait hours for must-have free collectible heres how to score one

FIFA has charmed World Cup fans with a new personalized promo.Bank of America’s free Fan Bands have officially become the “must-have” accessory of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.The bank is dropping coveted charm bracelets at fan events across all 11 host cities.

Fans are flocking to customization stations at fan events and stadiums, choosing between 140 collectible beads to put on their bracelet and trading charms with other fans.The Fanfest BofA booths allow fans to pick out their color band, size and five different charms for free.So far, more than 2 million BofA Fan Bands and 10 million beads have been distributed, according to their website. Fans in NYC can snag a Lady Liberty or yellow taxi charm.

And on the West Coast, there’s a Golden Gate Bridge and surfboard charm.Other popular charms include a Philly cheesesteak, the Liberty Bell and a miniature World Cup trophy.Fans have been waiting in 2+ hour-long lines for their band, determined to commemorate their 2026 World Cup experience with memories of their match city.Bank of America wants to spread the love amongst fans and give people access to snagging a bracelet, so they’re launching a mobile bus tour on the East and West coasts to deliver BofA Fan Bands to soccer lovers.Fans can also select pre-made, matchup-themed BofAFan Bands at different stadiums for different games.

Bank of America has also partnered with Vet Tex and FIFA to provide free World Cup tickets for Veterans, Current Military and First Responders, providing $2.25 million towards tickets. Despite the large production of bands and charms, fans are still being shut out from getting them. Fans are happy to have the bracelet as a keepsake to remember their World Cup experience.“Love mine from Boston!
