Marina Mabrey ties WNBA record for most points in a single game

The Los Angeles Sparks were handed a 125-97 beatdown Thursday thanks to Marina Mabrey, who scored 53 points against the purple and gold.Mabrey tied the record for most points in a single WNBA game alongside A’Ja Wilson (2023) and Liz Cambage (2018).The Toronto Tempo guard’s nine made threes also tied the WNBA record.She’s also the only players this season to score 18-plus points in a single quarter with Mabrey achieving the feat three separate times all in the month of June.
