There’s no crying in baseball — when you root for the Yankees.Mets fans are in even more despair this week as the team got swept by the Cubs and fired their manager.But a 5-year-old Long Islander saw the writing on the wall months ago — when he went viral for sobbing about being a Mets fan after learning he couldn’t switch loyalties to the New York baseball team that actually wins.“It was a long morning after his older brother told him we’re @mets fans no matter what,” Ezra Rudansky’s dad, Isaac, captioned the Instagram clip, which has racked up 346,000 views.“Why can’t you be a Mets fan?” Isaac asked the boy as the video begins.“Because I don’t want to be the worst,” Ezra answered through tears.“We’re Mets fans in this house,” the father of four replied.“But I don’t want to be the worst team,” Ezra insisted.“So which team do you want to root for?” Isaac asked.“Yankees,” Ezra said.Ezra of Woodmere, Long Island, told The Post that although his family and friends are Mets fans, he wants to root for the Yankees, “because the Mets are the worst.”His 10-year-old brother, Aaron, recounted exactly when he broke his little brother’s heart.“It was after the Mets lost 12 games in a row,” Ezra’s big brother explained.“Every Mets fan is extremely irate right now, so it struck a chord,” their dad, Isaac, said on Friday.
