Jarren Duran confronts chirping Yankees fan in Red Sox stars latest spectator altercation

Red Sox star Jarren Duran confronted a “chirping” Yankees fan on Saturday as the outfielder had yet another clash with a spectator.Duran, who flipped off a fan in April after they allegedly told him to kill himself, had some words for a New York fan in Boston after grounding out in the eighth inning.According to the Boston Globe, Duran could be seen shouting at a fan sitting not far behind the dugout before his teammates stepped in to settle him down.Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy said that the fan had been “chirping” for several innings, and Duran, 29, had apparently had enough. He downplayed the incident after 4-1 Red Sox win, saying that “nothing happened,” but the fan was reportedly escorted out of Fenway Stadium at the top of the ninth inning. The incident is the latest in a long line of prickly fan interactions for Duran, who previously revealed in the Netflix docuseries “The Clubhouse” that he attempted suicide during the 2022 season.Last year, he confronted a Guardians fan who “crossed the line” and apparently referenced his suicide attempt, before another fan heckled him in a similar, vile manner this spring.Duran also found himself in hot water in 2024 when he responded to a heckling fan by calling them a homophobic slur, as heard on a hot mic.And two years before that, he feuded with fans behind the center-field wall as then-teammate Alex Verdugo stepped in to restrain him.Duran said after the game that fans had been throwing bottle caps at him.The one-time All-Star is struggling at the plate this season, as he’s slashing a .198/.255/.360 line.He went 0-for-4 against the Yankees on Saturday....
