YouTube activist Long Island Auditors video raises questions about arrest at PBA headquarters

A popular YouTube activist arrested released video of his arrest at the Suffolk County PBA headquarters that seemed to contradict cops’ version of events.Sean Reyes, aka The Long Island Auditor, was arrested last Thursday for trespassing at the Police Benevolent Association building in Brentwood, where he arrived in a billboard truck plastered with The Post’s reporting on cops who admitted to misconduct but allowed to stay on the force until their pensions kicked in.“I drove my billboard truck to the police union headquarters to peacefully exercise my First Amendment rights and to speak to union president Lou Civello about the reports of misconduct settlements that are extremely concerning,” Reyes said in his video, uploaded at 10 a.m.on Sunday.The billboard truck also featured a photo of Civello with phrasing that read he “defends officers who admitted to misconduct,” and that he is president of the “Police Malevolent Association.”In the video, Reyes can be seen walking to the lobby of the union’s headquarters with his camera and a microphone, but he doesn’t get past the doors as security blocked him from coming in.A few minutes later, Civello and two other officers in plain clothes walk out and greet a woman also waiting at the door before turning to Reyes and informing him he is on private property, the clip shows“Lou Civello, how are you? Sure, no problem,” Reyes is heard saying in the video after Civello asked him to leave the property.The video shows Reyes walk backwards out of the building as Civello walks toward him, repeatedly telling him to leave or face arrest.As the YouTuber — who has over 1.03 million subscribers — makes his way back toward his truck backwards, he tells officers repeatedly that is was leaving while also asking Civello to come on his show, the video shows.Civello then announces that he is going to place him under arrest.“You’re such a tough guy then do it then,” Reyes snaps to Civello, who then arrests ...
