The roasting of Weiner: Scott Wiener and antisemitism among Democrats

Scott Wiener was harassed — twice — in San Francisco this week by activists who confronted him in an aggressive and, frankly, frightening manner.The reason? The activists say that Wiener has the wrong position on Israel.The State Senator was targeted on Wednesday at a bar where a crazed activist tried to force him to say “Free Palestine,” and demanded that he leave the Mission District neighborhood.Then, on Friday, he was mobbed by activists at Dolores Park before the Trans March.One shouted: “You stopped being queer the moment you started supporting Israel,” adding an expletive.

He was escorted out.The irony: Wiener changed his position on Israel in January, bowing to pressure from left-wing activists.He said that he now agreed that Israel was committing “genocide” in Gaza after all.It’s an absurd position.
