Erika Kirk set to face husbands accused killer Tyler Robinson in court for first major test of evidence

Charlie Kirk’s widow Erika and his parents are expected to attend a week-long hearing in court next week for accused killer Tyler Robinson, according to a source familiar with the case.Close friends of the family are also slated to be present for the Provo, Utah hearing that is scheduled to kick off Monday morning and continue through the end of the week. The 23-year-old alleged gunman is facing a preliminary hearing where prosecutors will lay out their case for Judge Tony Graf as the jurist decides whether there is enough evidence for Robinson to face trial.A preliminary hearing is an alternative to seeking a grand jury indictment. It could feature graphic imagery of the public Sept.10 assassination that happened in front of a crowd of thousands while Kirk, 31, was speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem.Robinson – who could face the death penalty if convicted – hasn’t entered a plea yet. There is a possibility the hearing could be postponed as Robinson is appealing multiple rulings, including Graf’s decision to allow media cameras to be present.Erika, a victim representative in the case, has pushed for maximum press access to the proceedings. This is a developing story.
