Zeds Dead Drop Surprise Prequel Album, 'Return to the Return (of the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness)'

Titled Return to the Return (of the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness), the album is also inspired by NASA’s Voyager mission, imagining music “as both something received from the past and transmitted into the future.” Producing breakbeats, drum & bass and UK garage, Zeds Dead cited as influences DJ Shadow, RJD2, Peanut Butter Wolf and Madlib.The album, they said, is untethered by “any expectation of what a Zeds Dead record should be.” “The initial Return to the Spectrum felt like the birth of a new era for us,” Zeds Dead said in a statement.
