California teen, 19, killed in horrifying crash after 18-year-old womans deadly mistake

A 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have died after she ran a stop sign and plowed her Chevy into his Jeep.Bobby Criado died Saturday after suffering major injuries in the smash, which happened around 10 p.m.Tuesday at an intersection in Madera County.California Highway Patrol said Esmeralda Marcela Gutierrez was driving her Chevy Malibu and was pronounced dead at the scene.Criado had been airlifted to hospital with major injuries, including brain trauma.

His family later said doctors told them his injuries were not expected to be survivable.A 21-year-old woman riding in the Chevy suffered minor injuries.The Jeep that Criado was in saw the 25-year-old driver and a 10-year-old passenger sustain minor to moderate injuries.
