Exclusive | Elisha Cuthbert finds a buyer for her LA home as she returns to acting following a 4-year hiatus

Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert — now back in the spotlight after a four-year absence to play the best role of her life — has found a buyer her LA home, which was last asking $2 million. The storybook residence, a traditional home built in 1936, stands just up the hill from Chateau Marmont, the legendary hotel in West Hollywood. The dwelling, which was asking $2.34 million last March, re-listed for $2.09 million on June 25 — and found a buyer on July 2, when the property was listed as “contingent.” That means the seller has accepted an offer, but the terms still have to be met before the home can close.Cuthbert purchased the spread for $1.64 million in 2005 — long before her 2013 marriage to retired NFL star Dion Phaneuf 13 years ago, on July 6, 2013, on Canada’s Prince Edward Island.Cuthbert, who made her name as Kiefer Sutherland’s daughter in the hit show “24” back in 2001, is now starring in the new Prime Video series “Every Year After.” Her return to acting follows four years during which she focused on her 24/7 role as mom to the two children she shares with Phaneuf: daughter Zaphire, born in 2017, and son Fable, born in 2022. Once both kids were enrolled in school, it was time for the “Girl Next Door” star to return to work.“I feel like I have the space and the energy and the heart to kind of leave them and do it,” Cuthbert recently said.“I realized I worked all four years through our first child and it was really hard to separate that mom from the working person I was,” Cuthbert said during an appearance on NBC’s “Today.” “So, when we had our second, I just felt like I needed to be at home with the kids and I enjoyed every minute.”“Every Year After” is Cuthbert’s first major acting gig following the 2022 film “Bandid” that she starred in with Mel Gibson. At 2,109 square feet, this traditional residence features three bedrooms and two baths.Design details include an open chef’s kitchen a...
