Marcellus Wiley breaks silence after unnerving domestic battery arrest details emerge

Marcellus Wiley is adamant he’s innocent. The media personality and former NFL player took to his X page Monday, two days after he was arrested for allegedly getting physical with his wife while threatening her during a dispute at a Florida hotel, to deny the allegations.“I’m deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and concern for me and my itty bitties,” Wiley wrote in his first public comments since the incident.“Your support is fully appreciated.I completely and unequivocally deny these allegations, and I’m certain the truth will prevail.”Wiley’s wife of 14 years, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Annemarie, claimed she, Wiley and their children were at World Marriott in Orlando on Friday when she and the ex-Chargers pass rusher got into an argument.According to the arrest affidavit, Annemarie told police that Wiley stood over their shared bed during the quarrel “and used one finger to sternly and intentionally poke her in the cheek.” She also said at one point he told her he “was going to kill her.”She added that the scene unfolded in front of their 7-year-old daughter.Police wrote in the arrest affidavit that Wiley told them he never put his hands on his wife and that “they have never had any physical violence between them” despite Annemarie alleging he “had an unreported history of violence toward her.”Nonetheless, Wiley was taken to a nearby jail and booked on a misdemeanor battery charge. In his Monday statement, Wiley, 51, said he wished he could say more about it all, but couldn’t.“As you know, I’m usually the first to break down the truth and separate facts from fiction,” he said.
“But because this is now a legal matter—and because my greatest responsibility is protecting my babies, who have already been impacted—I have to handle this differently. When I can speak freely, I absolutely will.“Until then, thank you for your patience, your prayers, and for continuing to stand with me.
Much Luv.”Wiley, ...
