Terion Arnold planning free-agency tour after kidnapping arrest as life in prison remains possibility

Being the alleged mastermind of a kidnapping and armed robbery scheme isn’t enough to scare away certain NFL teams.Arrested Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold is still awaiting his legal fate, yet he is “expected” to visit NFL teams that have shown interest in him after clearing waivers Monday, according to ESPN.The Lions cut their former first-round pick after he was arrested on four counts each of kidnapping and armed robbery, which could carry up to life in prison.He pled not guilty to the allegations.Arnold appeared in 22 games for the Lions after being drafted with the No.24 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.His agent, Harvey Steinberg, previously said that he expected Arnold to sign with a team within 30 days after his release and three teams had already reached out.The former Alabama star is the alleged “primary conspirator” in a kidnapping and assault case in which Arnold and six others purportedly lured three victims to an apartment he believed previously robbed them.One of the individuals was his personal driver, according to the Detroit Free Press, and Arnold and three of his co-conspirators reported more than $250,000 worth of property loss to police.Arnold is alleged to have given his 18-year-old lover and her roommate instructions to lure the three men to an apartment, and to later have provided instructions during the purported robbery.The three alleged victims “visible injuries from being battered, held at gunpoint, and pistol-whipped before their personal property was stolen and they were ordered to leave” in February, according to police.Arnold turned himself into police on June 24.He was released from custody last Tuesday after posting his $1 million bond, and his release included the condition that he could not leave his Tallahassee home unless he was playing, traveling or trailing with an NFL team or handling court-related requirements, according to ESPN.Even if teams attempt to sign him, the NFL could still place Arnold on the Commissioner...
