Since 2024, the union has represented about 80 of Casa Bonita’s performers, which include cliff divers, costumed characters and magicians, and has filed at least seven labor complaints against the restaurant with the National Labor Relations Board for “retaliation and refusal to bargain,” according to the report.Shields also told CNN those performers are paid about $10 less than the restaurant’s servers, who also receive tips.
