MLB picks: Giants vs. Blue Jays prediction, best bets for Dylan Cease vs. Logan Webb

No soccer on Wednesday, but we do have an MLB pitcher’s duel. The Toronto Blue Jays head west to the Golden State, where they will meet Logan Webb on Wednesday afternoon in what should be an excellent matchup on the mound. The Blue Jays counter with Dylan Cease, who has been excellent this year for Toronto, posting a 2.79 ERA in 16 starts, and is among the favorites to win the Cy Young Award.
Webb has been solid in his own right, posting a 3.66 ERA and 78 strikeouts in just north of 93 innings. The Giants play in one of the most pitcher-friendly parks in all of baseball, allowing the second-fewest home runs in 2026 and the sixth-fewest total runs, according to Statcast. With strong pitchers on tap for Wednesday afternoon, runs may be at a premium, and that’s before you include how deplorable these two offenses have been on the whole.Toronto is scoring just 3.92 runs per game this year, the second-worst figure in the league, while the Giants come in at 4.16 runs per game, the eighth-worst.The run total comes in at seven for this contest, and I expect this one to go under, given that what we’ve seen from these teams offensively is nothing to write home about. The under is 20-18-3 in home games for the Giants, the third-best mark in the major leagues.
I also slightly favor the Blue Jays in what is a coin-flip matchup (-105), as Cease is as dominant as he’s ever been, while some peripheral stats, such as average exit velocity, point to slight regression coming for Webb.PREDICTIONS: Blue Jays ML (-105, Fanatics) | Under 7 total runs (-125, Fanatics)Erich Richter is a brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belt but he has a black belt in MMA betting.
