Tomorrowland Thailand Set to Generate $633 Million for Local Economy, Ministry Says

Tomorrowland‘s debut festival in Thailand is projected to generate more than $633 million for the country’s economy, according to Surasak Phancharoenworakul, the country’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports.Ad 0:00 Click for sound 0:00 / 0:00 Phancharoenworakul shared the figures this week ahead of the inaugural Tomorrowland Thailand festival, which will take place at Wisdom Valley in Pattaya from December 11-13.
All 150,000 tickets for the three-day event have sold out, with 50,000 attendees expected onsite each day.The ministry now forecasts over 21.4 billion baht in economic circulation tied to the festival along with 1.4 billion baht in tax revenue and 4,000 new jobs across the preparation and staging of the event, per Thai PBS.
Those figures build on a five-year estimate revealed in August 2025, when Tomorrowland’s move to Thailand was first projected to inject $360 million into the country’s economy through 2030.Foreign visitors account for 85% of ticket-holders, led by Malaysia at 8.5%, Europe at 8%, Singapore at 7.5%, Australia at 6.5% and the United States at 3.5%.
More than 22,000 hotel and ticket packages have already been booked, and over 250 pre and post event travel packages have been sold to visitors planning extended stays around the country. The job creation tied to the festival extends beyond staffing the event itself.
Tomorrowland’s original hosting agreement included plans for an “Event Academy” to train Thai producers and entrepreneurs, and that initiative has since become the now sold-out Tomorrowland Academy Bootcamp, running in two sessions this November and December ahead of the festival. You can check out the lineup for the inaugural Tomorrowland Thailand festival here and find more information on the official website.
