Exclusive | Steve Young expresses deep concern for 49ers Brandon Aiyuk

STATELINE, Nev.— Steve Young is so concerned about the wellbeing of Brandon Aiyuk after a string of unsettling behavior from the Niners wide receiver that he’s actually ready to “reach out” and offer a helping hand, he revealed on Thursday While jovially warming up for the American Century Championship gold tournament in Lake Tahoe, Young’s demeanor drastically shifted when the topic of Aiyuk was broached.“I worry for him,” the Super Bowl-winning Hall Famer said, his voice lowering.

“I feel like I want to reach out and help.This is beyond football, it feels like.”Since injuring his knee in the 2024 season, Aiyuk’s antics have raised eyebrows.There was a speeding incident that resulted in a warrant for his arrest, as well as allegations that he’s continuously ghosted the Niners.

Most recently, he has posted several social media videos taking shots at San Francisco and one of his good friends, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.The behavior has clearly disturbed Young, who added on Thursday: “It just feels like we need to not make it about football right now.So, yeah.”Aiyuk is currently still under contract with the Niners, though the team has expressed interest in trading him.For Aiyuk’s part, he’s made it clear he’s done with San Francisco and would like to be a part of Washington going forward....
