Kaskade and Crankdat Bridge Generations in Adrenaline-Fueled Single, 'A Little Bit'

“We got Kaskade making dubstep before GTA6,” Crankdat quipped into the mic as he walked out.It was a full-circle moment.
The Ohio native, named among EDM.com‘s best producers of 2025, previously shared that he grew up shoveling his driveway to ‘I Remember.’ Now, sharing a record with the artist who pulled him into the orbit of electronic music in the first place lands like a career milestone in itself.For Kaskade, ‘A Little Bit’ is the next piece of ORIGIN //, the album he announced from that same Sahara stage.
Two decades into his career, the dance music icon’s appetite for reinvention and cross-generational collaboration remains insatiable.“My entire career has been about pulling influence from the ether, what’s happening around me and in the world,” Kaskade tells EDM.com.
“Right now, Crankdat is exactly that.I was really excited to see what would happen when our worlds collided, and I couldn’t be more excited to keep watching people’s confused but happy minds be blown on the dancefloor when they hear our collab.” The track’s vocals explore the giddy disorientation of new infatuation, and the rush of falling fast and hard.
Beneath them, saccharine synths climb toward a sugar-high peak before the floor drops out and gives way to Crankdat’s signature dubstep barrage, snapping the sweetness clean in half.Overall, ‘A Little Bit’ lives in that whiplash, and both artists sound right at home in it.
