Lindsey Vonn shares emotional tribute for TJ Lanning, ex-US skier dead at 41

Lindsey Vonn paid tribute to another U.S.skiing legend.Vonn posted a tribute to former alpine skier TJ Lanning, who died July 2 in Park City, Utah at 41.The cause of death has not yet been revealed.“TJ (aka crowbar jr) – we’ve known each other since we were 12,” Vonn wrote on her Instagram story.
“We shared a lot of memories on the mountain.I hope you are at peace my friend.
We will all miss you.Until we meet again.”Lanning was a supremely talented skier, starting his career as the top-ranked junior in the world in slalom and Super-G in 2001.His career never fully took off, though, due to a crash in 2009 that fractured his neck and caused a severe knee injury, forcing him to retire.“He pushed his skiing to, and sometimes beyond, the thin red line, and he brought that same intensity to every part of his life, making his presence felt wherever he went,” Lanning’s obituary read.He went on to spend more than two decades on the US team as a skier and coach.“We are deeply saddened by the passing of TJ Lanning, a former U.S.
