Another TV shake-up rocks NBC Sports Bay Area as top host suddenly leaves

NBC Sports Bay Area is losing another familiar face.Carlos Ramirez revealed Sunday that he is leaving the regional sports network after four and a half years, making him the latest high-profile departure from the station in 2026.“It’s hard to put into words what the past four and a half years meant to me,” Ramirez wrote in a post on X.“I had the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream, working alongside some of the most talented people in sports media, and calling the Bay Area home.”While Ramirez initially became a regular presence on the network’s San Francisco Giants pregame and postgame coverage, his role evolved in recent years as he took over as the primary host for the San Francisco 49ers’ studio programming.He also appeared across coverage of the Sacramento Kings and Athletics after joining the network full-time in 2022.California's top news, sports and entertainment delivered to your inbox every day.
