Bulls vs. Lakers prediction: NBA Summer League picks, best bets

The NBA Summer League is quickly becoming an interesting sporting event during the dog days of July.In a largely dead part of the sports calendar, Summer League is a spot for unknown players to get a bigger part of the spotlight as young NBA hopefuls compete in Las Vegas as they attempt to break into real rotations for teams. On Thursday, the Bulls will be underdogs against a loaded young Lakers team, as Chicago is 1-2 so far while Los Angeles is undefeated at 3-0.The Lakers have won every game by double digits, but come in as just 4.5-point favorites. These odds fluctuate quite a bit, though, as it’s a pretty niche market with player news and big bets often flipping lines at a second’s notice.Caleb Wilson is the guy to target for the Bulls, as he’s posted 35 points and 19 points (twice) in all three games for the Bulls.

He’s taking the lion’s share of shots for the Bulls, averaging 17.7 field goal attempts per game. This is Wilson’s opportunity to show he’s not just the future of the Bulls but the guy who will say “I got this” in a big game – for Summer League standards.

The Lakers are second favorites to win the Summer League title (+240), and I hesitate to bet on the Bulls here from a moneyline perspective, but I’d much prefer to smash Wilson’s player prop point total when it is released.I’d suspect Wilson’s point total to come in around 21 points, would love to wager the over, and can even place an alternate bet at 30+ at plus-money.As for the game, the total comes in at 181.5, and the Bulls are over in two of their three games, while the Lakers have scored at least 91 points in all three games.THE PLAY: Over 181.5 total points (-110, bet365) | Caleb Wilson over 20.5 (-115, Underdog) 30+ (+390, FanDuel)Erich Richter is a brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belt but he has a black belt in MMA betting.

During the football season he’s showcased massive profits at The Post in the player prop market the last two seasons. While constantly betting lo...
