Federal agents served a search warrant at the home of ex-New York City sheriff Anthony Miranda on Thursday, The Post has learned.The search of Miranda’s house in Fresh Meadows followed a 2024 probe by the city’s Department of Investigation at the sheriff’s headquarters, sources said.Investigators are probing Miranda’s handling of cash seized from illegal pot shops, in addition to a series of nonprofits connected to him, the sources said.But other details about the apparent federal probe remained murky Thursday as agents carried boxes from the 169th Street home.Miranda, appointed by then-Mayor Eric Adams, was formally let go as sheriff in April by his successor Zohran Mamdani.“Our administration is aware of the federal investigation into the former sheriff,” said Mamdani’s spokeswoman Dora Pekec.“This administration is committed to transparency and accountability.We will await any findings and conclusions as the legal process runs its course.”Miranda didn’t immediately return a request for comment....
