AVELLO has joined forces with chart-topping pop artist Jordin Sparks for a new single, ‘We Own the Night,’ out now as her first official dance release.Ad 0:00 Click for sound 0:00 / 0:00 The track pairs AVELLO’s festival-ready production with the vocals of Sparks, the Grammy-nominated ‘No Air’ singer who won American Idol‘s sixth season in 2007 at just 17 years old.
Her lyrics capture a long workday finally coming to an end, singing, “It’s you and me / We’re young and free” as AVELLO matches her warmth with driving percussion and a groove built for peak-time dancefloor moments.Sparks’ recent foray into electronic music was punctuated by an appearance at Austin’s ILLfest during NGHTMRE’s set, and while she has a collaboration with him in the works, ‘We Own the Night’ marks her first proper release in the genre.
“Back in March, Jordin sent me some vocals she’d been working on and asked me to see where I could take them,” AVELLO explained.“The second I heard them, I knew there was something special there.
I immediately started building around the vocal and leaned into making it feel like a big festival anthem.Within a couple days, I had the first draft together.
From there, we went back and forth on a few details, dialed everything in, and ended up with something we’re both really excited about.” The EDM.com Class of 2026 artist previewed the collaboration live during his April set at WAKAAN ROCKS at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where it served as a standout of the night.He has kept the momentum going by winning EDMAs for Best New Artist and Breakout Remixer of the Year this year, plus a run of major festival performances through the rest of 2026 including Electric Forest, Lollapalooza, Lost Lands and EDC Orlando.
