Despite initially refusing, Brunson eventually signed the helmet with “Go Birds.”Brunson, who’s been with the Knicks since 2022 and won NBA Finals MVP this season, was born in New Jersey but has ties to Philadelphia. He attended Villanova from 2015-18, winning two National Championships with the Wildcats alongside current Knicks teammates Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart.
