Paul Pelosi charged in Napa County hit-and-run crash

Paul Pelosi, the husband of Nancy Pelosi, has been charged in his hit-and-run crash over the Fourth of July weekend.Allison Haley, the District Attorney of Napa County, filed charges against Pelosi Friday.He was hit with one count of misdemeanor hit-and-run driving and hit with one infraction for an unlawful turning movement.Shocking photographs, obtained by The California Post, revealed the bashed-up Tesla that Pelosi allegedly slammed into before driving away.Authorities said the 86-year-old husband of the former House Speaker struck the parked vehicle with his brown convertible before fleeing the scene on July 3.
Napa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of the hit-and-run on the 6700 block of Yount Street in Yountville, around 2:30 p.m.A witness who called 911 pointed officials in the direction of a northbound vehicle seen colliding with the rear of a parked car on the shoulder, causing major damage.The collision also pushed the parked car’s right tire up onto the curb.The witness said the vehicle briefly stopped and then drove away.After police tracked Pelosi down, the 86-year-old admitted to hitting something but said he wasn’t aware what he struck.
He then continued driving until his vehicle, disabled from the crash, stopped working.Police found Pelosi partially blocking the roadway in his brown convertible on Yountville Cross Road.The car had significant damage to the front right side of the vehicle.Cops determined that alcohol was not a factor in Pelosi’s crash.
