NYC woman, 70, shoved and tossed onto subway tracks as suspect remains at large

A sicko shoved an elderly woman onto subway tracks in Midtown – where good Samaritans rushed to rescue her Saturday morning.The unidentified straphanger, 70, was on the northbound side of the 57th Street and 7th Avenue station just before 11:30 a.m.when the maniac walked up behind her and tossed her onto the tracks — where she fell and cut her head, the NYPD said.The suspect then took off and remained in the wind Saturday afternoon, according to cops.Commuters who witnessed the attack heroically jumped onto the tracks and pulled the woman back onto the platform.She was taken to Cornell Hospital in stable condition where she is being treated for a head wound, police said.This is a developing story.
