Dodgers-Yankees game rained out; doubleheader scheduled for Sunday

NEW YORK — Saturday night’s Dodgers-Yankees game was postponed because of rain, setting up a split doubleheader Sunday.Sunday’s first game is scheduled to begin at 12:35 p.m.Eastern (9:35 a.m.

Pacific).The series finale is set for Sunday at 7:20 p.m.

Eastern (4:20 p.m.Pacific).The Dodgers did not immediately announce if the rainout would alter their pitching plan.

Initially, Emmet Sheehan was scheduled to start Saturday and Yoshinobu Yamamoto on Sunday.The team will also be allowed to call up an extra player for Sunday because of the doubleheader.It will be the Dodgers’ first time playing a doubleheader since May 2024, when they got rained out during a visit to the Mets.California's top news, sports and entertainment delivered to your inbox every day.
