US service member killed in Iraq as troops recover unidentified remains in Jordan: CENTCOM

A U.S.service member was killed Saturday during an operation involving explosive remnants from a downed Iranian drone in northern Iraq, U.S.

Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Sunday. A second U.S.service member was also wounded in the incident, officials said. The announcement came as CENTCOM confirmed unidentified remains were found Sunday during the search for a U.S.
