A young mother in Los Angeles was shot and killed through her bedroom window while she slept next to her baby girl and boyfriend in their home.The victim, 20-year-old Maria Barrios Ventura, was inside her home in the 400 block of West 103rd Street in the Vermont Vista neighborhood when the shooting happened around 3:35 a.m.on Sunday, July 19.Ventura was identified as the victim by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.“This sudden and heartbreaking event has left her family devastated and struggling to cope with the loss.
