Laguna Beach rocked by alleged slaying of mom by trans son as chilling social media post revealed

A trans man who neighbors said lived under the watch of round-the-clock caregivers has been accused of killing his mother after she was found dead inside a Laguna Beach home.Police responded Monday to a property on Dunning Drive at around 11 a.m.and found Angela Caprioli, 61, dead at the scene.On Thursday, her son Safford Wolfson, 36, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Never miss a story A nearby neighbor’s son also told the outlet that caregivers appeared to be at the residence around the clock and that Wolfson’s mother had recently been visiting.As investigators unraveled the homicide, Wolfson’s public online presence drew attention.An X account bearing Wolfson’s name describes the account holder as a “trans girl looking for fun in LA,” while a TikTok account associated with Wolfson contains videos showing Wolfson dancing in dresses, miniskirts, crop tops and underwear.Wolfson’s LinkedIn profile says he co-founded Kevin’s House LLC, a Southern California dual-diagnosis sober living and assisted adult care facility that provides services for people facing mental health challenges.

Caprioli describes herself as the founder of Kevin’s House on her Facebook profile.Her profile features a prominent photo showing her posing with Wolfson smiling widely.Wolfson wrote a chilling post on his Facebook page in 2024 saying: “Not even my mom wants to hang out with me man… talk about lame-o!”Police have not announced a motive.
