LA weed company slammed over branded Skid Row tent giveaway

A Los Angeles company that makes flavor additives used by cannabis products is facing backlash for its latest marketing strategy — giving away tents branded with their logo to the homeless on skid row. Terp Science Labs handed out over 500 tents in what the company described as a “win-win situation” — providing shelter to the homeless — that also double as a free advertising campaign. “We did it for our marketing, but also trying to help out as well,” DJ, a store manager told The California Post, adding that there was “no malicious intent.” “We’re always trying best to help our community out, and especially around this time because it’s so hot,” said DJ.“The tents were a good idea and everyone’s been so appreciative.” But critics argued the tents came off more as a marketing stunt than as an effort to help a community in need.

“I think it’s more of a symptom of the failure of our administration to actually take care of this,” he said. California Post News: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, WhatsApp, LinkedInCalifornia Post Sports Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, XCalifornia Post Opinion California Post Newsletters: Sign up here!California Post App: Download here!Home delivery: Sign up here!Page Six Hollywood: Sign up here!Despite spending nea...
