Her frequent collaborator is CXRTER, 7, and together the pair make up a DJ duo that has taken on the name DJ Faculty Lounge.RecordSetter, one of the largest alternative record-keeping organizations, confirmed the two now hold the record for the youngest b2b DJ duo by combined age.
The record was approved this month and RecordSetter sent the family a confirmation email along with a digital certificate bearing the children’s names, which their mother, Ashley Lovell, provided to EDM.com.Their combined age at the time of certification was 4,476 days, or just over 12 years between the two of them.
Guinness World Records does not currently recognize b2b DJ sets as a category, according to Lovell.RecordSetter, founded as an alternative to Guinness, has built a reputation for certifying records that fall outside more traditional record books, from feats of speed and strength to lighthearted achievements involving children and pets.
For CXRTER and LeeLee, the record caps a hobby that began less than a year ago.In that time, the two have developed a shared taste in music that skews toward what EDM fans often call the genre’s golden era, counting Avicii, Calvin Harris and Zedd among their favorite artists.
The family’s rescue cat is named Oliver Treats, a nod to the late musician Oliver Tree, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter who was tragically killed when two helicopters collided over Brazil in June.Scroll to continue more from edm Dubstep Pioneer Rusko Announces Indefinite Hiatus, Citing Mental Health Str...
