Former Rangers star Ron Duguay rushed to hospital after scary home collapse

Former Rangers star Ron Duguay was hospitalized after being found unconscious at his home last Friday, according to his daughter, Shay Thomas.Doctors said Duguay had been “extremely dehydrated,” and also “discovered varices, portal hypertensive gastropathy, internal bleeding, and an ulcer,” per his daughter’s Instagram post. The 69-year-old diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer earlier this year.“Our dad @ronduguay10 continues to show us just how strong he is,” Thomas wrote Monday on Instagram.“On Friday, he fainted at home, was unconscious, injured a few parts of his face, and knocked out a few teeth in the fall…this time, it wasn’t from hockey.
He was taken by ambulance to the hospital.“Because of the cancer in his liver, along with everything his liver has endured from surgery, chemotherapy, and the pump, pressure has built up inside the liver. That pressure can back up into the stomach and cause bleeding.
The ulcer still needs further evaluation, but the bleeding and liver pressure are the major concerns right now.”Duguay seems to be taking an upbeat approach after the harrowing incident. He posted a split-photo to his Instagram Story on Monday night that showed him minus a few teeth and said chompers on the floor at his house.“Found my teeth on the bedroom floor,” he caption the Instagram Story.Thomas’ posts included a captioned video showing Duguay being loaded into an ambulance, and later transported through the hospital on a gurney. The ex-Ranger was conscious while being attended to and moved throughout the hospital. His daughter said he had been struggling to eat before fainting due to how he had been feeling.“He is still admitted to the hospital and receiving blood transfusions while the doctors continue to monitor him closely,” Thomas wrote in the post.“Through it all, our dad remains strong, positive, and trusting God every step of the way.We will continue to keep everyone updated.
Please keep him covered in prayer.”This scar...
