Long Island teen who killed ex in botched murder-suicide hired inmate to rob victims family

An accused Long Island puppy love killer who allegedly fatally shot his teenage ex in a botched murder-suicide was ordering for a third psychological evaluation Tuesday — after prosecutors said he tried to hire a fellow inmate to rob her family.Austin Lynch, 18 — who allegedly killed SUNY Oneonta student Emily Finn then turned the gun on himself when he ambushed her inside her home on Thanksgiving break last year — had initially been found unfit to stand trial in January.But it was revealed in Riverhead court that a separate group of experts found him fit to stand trial in May.“The court is now in an untenable position — I now have contradictory findings,” Judge Anthony Senft Jr.said.“He is capable of standing trial on that second case.
