Chaos at Disneyland, Angel Stadium as thousands of guests are left furious during citys water pressure crisis

Disneyland guests had nowhere to relieve themselves Tuesday as the Anaheim theme park shuttered bathrooms due to a water shortage in the area.The issue left guests loitering outside bathrooms in protest as park workers directed them away.Many locations within the Anaheim neighborhood, including Angel Stadium, had little to no water pressure.Other areas, including parts of downtown Anaheim, State College Boulevard and surrounding the Anaheim resort area were also affected, officials said Tuesday.Anaheim city officials said they were having “technical issues” drawing water from the city’s groundwater wells.

To counteract the shortage, officials say they are “using additional river water.”“Those impacted should see improving water pressure over the next hour or so,” officials said.Mike Lyster, who works for the city of Anaheim, told ABC7 that they stayed in contact with theme parks and Angel Stadium as well as residents.“We were in direct contact with our counterparts at the stadium, as well as the theme parks, hotels, convention center, in addition to many direct contacts with residents,” Lyster said.California's top news, sports and entertainment delivered to your inbox every day.
