For the second straight day, the Yankees got walked off on, this time coming on Fernando Cruz’s four-pitch walk to Tristan Peters with the bases loaded in the 11th inning, punching them in the face with a 2-1 loss to the White Sox on Thursday afternoon.On a day when they went 1-for-15 with runners in scoring position and left 11 men on base, the Yankees took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 10th before Angel Chivilli — in his second inning of work — blew it in the bottom of the frame.Cruz came in to bail him out of that inning, but after the Yankees could not score in the top of the 11th, the White Sox won it in painstaking fashion, with David Bednar seemingly unavailable for the second straight day, after having pitched on four of the last six days.The Yankees fell to 1-8 in extra innings this season.Cruz started the 11th by intentionally walking Munetaka Murakami and then striking out Miguel Vargas.Sam Antonacci followed with a hard ground ball to first base that Ben Rice dove for and knocked down, but the ball came out of his glove, wiping out any chance of recording an out, loading the bases.Cruz then fell behind 3-0 to Colson Montgomery before coming back to strike him out.
