Disney to auction iconic park memorabilia from fan favorites, including Haunted Mansion, the Indiana Jones Adventure

The Happiest Place on Earth is cleaning house, and Disney die-hards can take home some seriously strange souvenirs home — if they have enough cash, and in some cases, enough space.Dozens of bizarre, spooky and instantly recognizable pieces of park history from Disneyland, Walt Disney World and other Disney destinations are hitting the auction block next month, including Haunted Mansion relics, a Big Thunder Mountain ride vehicle, a Tomorrowland trash can and even a mummy straight out of Indiana Jones Adventure.
The Disney Experiences Auction — Rare and Remarkable Finds, hosted by Heritage Auctions, will feature 50 handpicked lots when it goes live Aug.16 at 5:30 p.m.at the Anaheim Convention Center.Among the strangest treasures up for grabs next month is an original mummy prop that once lurked inside Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure.
The creepy fake corpse dates back to the attraction’s early years, with Heritage listing it as an original piece used in the park from 1995 through the 2020’s.As of Thursday, bidding for the “practically life-size” mummy is at $1,250.Another related relic comes right out of Disneyland’s iconic Haunted Mansion in the form of a hand-painted styrofoam sarcophagus dating back to the 1970’s, which appeared in the attraction’s graveyard scene and once housed a mummy sitting down for tea beside a ghost.
Despite its imposing appearance, the two-piece prop is “shockingly lightweight” and has already attracted a bid of $430.An original customized Big Thunder Mountain Railroad attraction vehicle from the 2010’s and 2020’s has already rocketed to $13,000 in early bidding, making it the priciest item in the sale so far.
Fans mourning the shuttered Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida can also snag pieces of the beloved attraction, which closed in 2025.Several original theater decorations are also up for grabs, including one 66-inch tall Miss Piggy piece that has reached $2,800, and another ...
