The track features haunting vocals from Nottingham-based singer-songwriter Emily Makis, who has emerged as a force after working with electronic music icons like Skream and Benga over the last year.Her aching lyrics beautifully explore the concept of loneliness, which sometimes comes disguised as ordinary days that no longer feel like they belong to you.
Asking to “touch my soul” is to admit that hands, words and presence have already tried and failed to reach the place that actually hurts.Meanwhile, NERO and Nulight craft a sublime beat that starts with a drum & bass cadence before blooming into a spine-tingling dubstep drop.
