One of Brooke Hanlon’s closest friends is shedding new light on the slain New Jersey mother’s young adult life in Boston as the investigation into her unsolved murder stretches into its second month.Hanlon, a 35-year-old therapist, was found fatally stabbed inside her Chester, New Jersey, home June 6.Nearly eight weeks later, authorities have yet to name a suspect or person of interest in the homicide case.“Honestly, it’s been confusing, heartbreaking and incredibly frustrating,” said Jennifer Payne, Hanlon’s graduate school friend and former roommate who shared photos of the pair during their time in Boston and the years that followed.“Nothing prepares you for unexpectedly losing a loved one, let alone to murder.
