Yankees acquire Heliot Ramos in trade with Giants in outfield boost

The Yankees are getting some more help for their lineup.They’re landing Heliot Ramos from the Giants before Monday’s trade deadline, The Post’s Jon Heyman reported.Ramos hit 43 homers across the previous two seasons and has mashed nine with a .728 OPS in 74 games with San Francisco this year.He’s been particularly good against left-handed pitchers with a .292/.343/.492 slash line this year.

For his career, he has an .847 OPS versus southpaws.The move comes a day after the Yankees traded with the Nationals for breakout star Luis Garcia Jr., who is batting third and playing first base on Monday night.This story will be updated...
