Markwayne Mullin is under attack because hes doing his job right and telling the truth on immigration

Markwayne Mullin is doing exactly what President Donald Trump needed done at Homeland Security in the wake of Kristi Noem’s disastrous tenure — so of course a pack of podcasters who claim they speak for MAGA want Mullin gone yesterday.The new DHS chief is delivering more illegal-migrant detentions, arrests and deportations.And he’s doing it without the pointless confrontations that outrage most Americans and so endanger the entire project of getting 10 million border-jumpers gone.This straightforward success infuriates the likes of Noem loyalist Gregory Bovino, who seized on a speech Mullin gave last weekend at a National Governors Association gathering to charge the new guy wants “amnesty” for illegals.In fact, all Mullin did was embrace Trump’s own, oft-stated approach to immigration:He also noted that US immigration laws haven’t been updated in over half a century, and should be — but won’t be, because Congress can’t get anywhere near agreement; then he argued that DHS enforcement on his watch would still get its job done.All of it common-sense truth, as were his supposed “amnesty” plea, which was simply noting that the laws allow for some now-illegal immigrants to gain legal status.
