WNBA fans half-court shot goes hilariously wrong: Bob, are you OK?

A Portland Fire fan flamed out during a half-court shot contest over the weekend. A video showing his hopes of winning a new car going up in flames circulated the internet as the man, wearing a black shirt and jeans, threw up a shot that didn’t even reach the basket as he fell onto the court at Moda Center. The ill-fated half-court shot took place on Sunday when the Fire hosted the Los Angeles Sparks and the two WNBA teams headed into the locker room at halftime with Portland leading.It was hard to tell the reaction of the crowd from the clip, but the in-arena hostess ran over to check on the man, apparently named Bob. “Oh Bob, are you OK?” she could be heard asking the man as he was picking himself off the ground. The man appeared to have a smile on his face as he did so, which, at the very least, means he was able to laugh at himself in the moment. Fire fans can register online in order to win a chance to compete in the halftime competition, but it seemed on Sunday, Toyota, which sponsors it, didn’t have to worry about having to give away a free car....
