Infuriating video shows Amazon truck driver hurling box onto customers porch
Stand and deliver.Amazon is investigating an incident after a Florida man shared doorbell camera footage of a delivery driver unceremoniously tossing a box onto his porch.
In the Ring footage, the driver can be seen approaching the home and hurling the package onto the cement porch, where it lands with a loud thud.The unidentified driver then raises their hands to take a picture before turning and walking away.
According to the package recipient, Nathan Pekas, the parcel was delivered by Yun Express, a third-party carrier often used for Amazon deliveries.Pekas shared a picture of the damaged box, which includes a busted-up corner.He was understandably surprised by the unnecessary roughness of the delivery, speculating that the summer heat in the Sunshine State “must have been too much to make those extra two steps to the door.”In a statement, Amazon told Storyful: “This video does not reflect the standards we have for our delivery partners, and we’re looking into this matter.”Earlier this year, Amazon came under fire for the disastrous results of its artificial intelligence-powered delivery drones, which have been seen dropping off packages from 10 feet in the air, rendering the contents of each box susceptible to crashing and smashing.
