Brewers offer for Tarik Skubal revealed and its better than the Dodgers

Peña ranks ahead of Hope and Ryan on several public prospect lists.Trades, however, are not automatically awarded to the team offering the highest-ranked prospect.Detroit reportedly wanted controllable pitching capable of contributing quickly.That requirement gave Los Angeles an advantage through Ryan, a 27-year-old starter who could enter the Tigers’ rotation this month.
Hope supplied a high-upside position player, while Smith added another young arm.Milwaukee’s initial proposal consisted entirely of hitters.The Tigers already possess a potential franchise shortstop in Kevin McGonigle, which may have made Peña less attractive than an MLB-ready pitcher.Teams reportedly expressed interest in Brewers right-hander Logan Henderson, but it remains unclear whether Milwaukee included him in its strongest proposal.
