Stephen Curry could request trade from Warriors near end of his career

The Golden State Warriors have entered a new chapter of the organization and its far from what was originally envisioned.After losing out in the LeBron James free agent sweepstakes, the Warriors look like a team once again leaning on its veteran star.Stephen Curry’s loyalty to Golden State could change if frustrations with the organization reach a breaking point, according to Nick Friedell of The Athletic.“Now, a few months later, with little improvement to the roster, the league wonders whether Curry’s mindset will change.

Speculation continues from both fans and the media that Curry may become so frustrated that he eventually asks out during the final year or two of his career,” Friedell writes.“But that’s still hard to envision given that he has been so consistent in both his messaging about wanting to stay with the Warriors and in expressing his love for the Bay Area.”In 2016, owner Joe Lacob famously said the Warriors were lightyears ahead of the rest of the league.
