Rabble-rousing Staten Island artist and activist Scott LoBaido suffered a cardiac arrest emergency after he attempted to confront Mayor Zohran Mamdani at a pro-cop event in the borough Tuesday night — in which the socialist mayor was mercilessly booed off stage.LoBaido, who’s been openly critical of Mamdani, tried to approach the mayor after his remarks at the Midland Beach boardwalk for the NYPD’s 43rd Patrol Borough National Night Out Against Crime — but was held by police, a witness told the Staten Island Advance.Soon after, LoBaido voiced that he wasn’t “feeling well” and collapsed on the ground, the witness said, prompting emergency personnel to immediately jump into action and begin performing CPR.LoBaido began breathing again and was provided with oxygen as he was loaded into an ambulance and rushed to Staten Island University Hospital.“I thought he was gone,” the witness said.“They really did a good job.”LoBaido, 61, suffered cardiac arrest and was listed in critical but stable condition Tuesday night, an SIUH spokesperson told the Advance.He posted a photo of himself in the hospital flipping the bird that same night on Facebook, where he has more than 1 million followers.“Tonight, at the National Night Out event in Midland Beach, our friend Scott LoBaido collapsed after suffering what appeared to be a medical emergency,” South Shore Council member Frank Morano wrote in a social media post.“Emergency personnel used a defibrillator, and Scott was alert as he was being taken by ambulance to the hospital.
