The last seconds before and after totality will produce the diamond-ring effect, a brief flash of concentrated sunlight through the lunar surface, before full daylight gradually returns.During totality, the music will stop for a “once-in-a-lifetime spectacle,” according to a press release.
The silence is programmed into the event, dubbed ‘ECLIPSE: The Day the Sun Sets Twice,’ giving guests a window to experience the eclipse from the open sea before the DJs pick back up and the boat turns toward San Antonio.Pukka Up has operated sunset boat parties out of San Antonio since 2003 and currently runs sailings multiple times per week throughout the Ibiza summer season.
Jones and Pukka Up’s resident DJs will handle the decks for the ‘ECLIPSE’ voyage. The three-hour sailing departs San Antonio at 6pm on Wednesday, August 12.
