Seann William Scott asks $17.5M for his dream Malibu surfing compound

Actor Seann William Scott’s Malibu surfing compound is back on the market for $17.5 million — down slightly from its $17.85 million ask with a different brokerage earlier this year. The “American Pie” actor’s retreat — known as the Vanaya House — in the hills above Zuma Beach, sits on just under 1.5 acres.The new listing, first reported by Realtor.com, boasts a resort-style pool, a tennis court with a viewing pavilion, covered patios, open air lounges, coastline “glimpses,” plus plenty of room to build new structures for a family compound to span generations. Scott, a “Lethal Weapon” alum who was also in the stoner comedy, “Dude, Where’s My Car,” is currently starring with Tim Allen and Kat Dennings in ABC’s “Shifting Gears,” which was recently renewed for a third season. He also voiced Crash, the reckless possum twin in the “Ice Age” franchise.He bought the five-bedroom, 4.5-bath beach house on Morning View Drive for $3.95 million in 2004, according to property records, around the time that the “American Pie” franchise, in which Scott portrayed the character Steve Stifler, was in full swing.The gated estate, inspired by Balinese architecture, opens to a gravel motor court anchored by a coral tree.
